What is Blackhawk Network Pty Ltd?
Blackhawk Network is Australia’s largest third-party gift card distributor, with retail distribution in major outlets such as Australia Post, 7-Eleven and major supermarkets. It is an Australian registered company, owned by Safeway USA.
How do I place an order?
Simply fill in your details on the order page and one of our Gift Cards Direct team will call you to complete your order and arrange for delivery.
Is there a minimum order?
Yes, we have a minimum order of $500 per transaction.
How do I receive the gift cards?
Gift Cards Direct will arrange delivery to your nominated address. There are two delivery options:
1. Standard: $14.95 including handling & delivery
2. Express: $24.95 including handling & delivery
How are the cards activated?
Once Gift Cards Direct has received and cleared your payment we will activate your gift cards.
What happens if my gift cards are stolen or lost?
Once the gift cards are in your possession and activated, they must be treated like cash and kept in a secure place. They cannot be replaced if they are lost or stolen. If they are lost or stolen prior to activation, Gift Cards Direct will replace them (postage & handling fees will apply).
What are the payment terms?
All gift cards will be activated once full payment has been received.
Will my gift cards have an expiry date?
Yes, all gift cards have expiry dates and may vary from card to card. However the majority of cards sold have 12 months’ validity from activation. Only 1 Visa Cards have the expiry date on the front like normal Visa cards.
Does GST apply to gift card purchases?
GST is only applicable to handling/service fees. It does not apply to Gift Card purchases. GST is applicable on the goods purchased at the retail outlet.
What are the payment options?
Direct Debit is the preferred method of payment. Credit card purchases incur a 2.9% fee.
Where are Gift Cards accepted?
Most Gift Cards can only be redeemed at the issuing retailer or on their website. Only 1Visa cards are accepted at most participating Visa outlets. In Australia , Woolworths (& their associated retail chains such as Big W, Woolworths Petrol, etc) don’t currently accept payment by prepaid Visa card.
